DYNAMIC TATTOO

My second trip to work at Dynamic Tattoo in Melbourne was a good one . I got to catch up with Family and Friends , and do some kool Tattooing . Also visiting Kenny mac who I worked for in the early 90's at his old Brunswick studio , Flaming Guns . It was situated above the club X adult book store and is now an extension of that buisness , I had many great times there before I left for England at the end of 1995 . He now runs Bev Robinson's Moving pictures Tattoo studio in Williamstown . Catching up with Kenny and Bev is allways great and I was lucky enough to leave with an origonal piece of hand drawn and coloured flash from the studios wall from the 1980's , its going in a frame and will be proudly hung in my studio . Here are selection of photos from my week , I look forward the the return visit mid december , Thanks to all .

DRUNKEN CHEF

Here I had the great pleasure of Tattooing my old mate Benji Tobin from Skin Fx on the Gold Coast . He is off to work in Adelaide for a few months and stopped in on the way down . Here is the process from rough sketch to completion . No tracing out of books here , and a fun Tattoo to do . Thanks Benji and see you on the return .

HORIYOSHI THE THIRD

My final stop in Japan before flying out was Horiyoshi 3. Having been a huge admirer of his work since the begining of my career , this was the icing on the cake of my trip. A great day that when I look back and remember reading The Japanese Tattoo by Sandy Fellman in the early 1990's, would never have thought this day would eventuate . Thank you Japan.

Japan
