JAPAN STYLE

Here is the opening entertainment for an east meets west Tattoo dinner , hosted by Japans premier female Tebori artist , Horiren. We were treated to an evening of great food , booze and Tattoos.
What I can only describe as one of the best dinner parties Ive had the pleasure of attending. What will follow will be a few snaps of the nights festivities , we got close up to some great poeple and artwork. One guy has a body suit from 46 years ago, our hosts were so gracious in letting us into there world , for which I am eternaly greatful. I hope you enjoy and stay tuned for more.

STYLIZED GREAT WAVE

Inspired by the japanese wood block master Hokusai . Paul wanted the great wave incorporated into an existing piece under his arm. Big and bold with some snow flakes floating through the background.
Two sessions over 5 hours knocked this baby out. Awsome fun tattoo to do.

BUDDHA AND LOTUS

Andy came in with a reference from a tattoo magazine.
This is a great example of what happens when ideas and compromise meet.He liked the ornamental layout on the face from a painting we have on display here at Inner Vision .A great fun tattoo to do which took around two and a half hours.IMG_3516

LIKE A TIGERRR

Elizabeth is a make up artist , who also does some kool temparary tattoos for the fashion industry. Here we did 6 hours over 3 sessions to complete a favourite picture of a tiger from a painting.

PAUL SAYCE TATTOO HISTORIAN

IMG_0504
Paul Sayce runs the Oxford Tattoo museum and Tattoo club of Great Britain. You would be pushed far to find a man with a broader knowledge on Tattooing. Great guy I've had the pleasure of calling a friend since the mid 90's when I was working in London. This was taken at the 2009 London tattoo convention.
